Lake Pamvotida - Nisaki
The capital of Epirus is identified with its lake. Lake Pamvotida or the Lake of Ioannina, as it is referred to by residents and visitors, dominates the urban landscape of Ioannina, but also the Pamvotida basin, which is surrounded to the north by the imposing Mitsikeli and to the south by the peaks of Mount Tomaros.
Perama Cave
The Perama Cave is located just four kilometers from the center of the city of Ioannina, in the village of Perama, on the hill Goritsa. It is an important part of the natural ecosystem of the area and is one of the most popular attractions of the city.
Our Museums
Μουσείο Βρέλλη
The Pavlos Vrellis Museum of Greek History, also known as the Museum of the Waxworks, is located in the region of Ioannina, in Epirus. It was founded on the initiative of Pavlos Vrellis in February 1983 and opened its doors in 1995 and is the best known museum of its kind in Greece.
Archaeological museum
In a spacious building of 1200 sqm, findings from all over the region have been collected and are exhibited in seven renovated rooms, taking us from the Palaeolithic era, 250,000 years ago to the late Roman period.
Silversmith museam
The Museum of Silversmithing is located in the castle of Ioannina, specifically in the western bastion of the southeastern citadel (Itz Kale). Its purpose is to preserve the knowledge about the continental silverware and to disseminate information about its technology to the general public.

Zagorochoria
Zagorochoria in the prefecture of Ioannina are popular destinations for holidays all year round. They are 46 villages scattered in the mountain ranges of Pindos, Tymfi and Mitsikeli, in the Zagori region. They are located 60-70 km north of Ioannina.
