To admire the splendour of nature, cross the famous Vikos Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world, and go rafting on the Voidomatis River with its crystal clear icy waters. Climb up to the mythical Drakolimni that stands serenely on a mountain peak at 2,050m above sea level and enjoys from its throne the view that only eagles know.

Enjoy in Zagorochoria the excellent local cuisine

When it comes to Epirus cuisine, no introduction is needed. Zagorochoria, and the whole of Epirus, are famous for their pies. The famous Epirotic pies are made with hand-rolled pastry and the most famous are batsina, kasopita, blatsara, kale pie, meat pie, meat pie and chicken pie.

The delicious pies accompany the other traditional dishes such as goat, lamb and beef cooked in the grill, kontosouvli, grilled sheep, fried pork, boubouria and pobari. Epirus also produces excellent local products such as wine, cheeses (feta, galotyri, kefalotyri, vlachotyri), sausages and tsipouro, which is considered one of the best by those who drink it.

Zagorochoria is beautiful all year round. In winter the white-clad mountains make the landscape look alpine, in spring when everything is reborn and nature is lush green, in summer when everything is cool and in autumn when it becomes a canvas of painting with dozens of wonderful colours.
